Underfloor heating
I have underfloor water heating, and a question connected with this. Are Barlinek floors suitable for this? What floorboard would you recommend for underfloor heating? What should I lay under the board?
The Barlinek floorboard is superb in this case. It has around 2.5°C loss between the base and the top, which is not much. Strong, oil-free joins prevent drying out. I'd encourage you to consider such varieties as merbau, jatoba, oak, acacia or doussie Africa. It would be good if the floorboard was glued down. It conducts heat better. You should buy a floorboard from one of the classes off the price list, thus avoiding disappointment. Short floorboards are mainly in supermarkets. Long floorboards will lie better on heating.
